The US Military has reported on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 of the most damaging breach that ever took place in the history of the nation. The said major breach happened during one of the operations of the military in the Middle East in the year 2008. During an operation, it had been said that a USB device had been used in one of the Military computer ports by someone who has a malicious intention with the Military files.

According to the Military Spokesperson, the USB device had been utilized to inflict one of the computer servers in the Military base with Malware programs.

Skimming is the act of obtaining credit card information from the cardholder unlawfully and using the information to carry out unauthorized transactions. Typically, the details are fraudulently obtained by an employee of a business by using simple methods, such as extracting the credit card information with swiping devices or photocopiers. Large quantities of credit card numbers can be copied by using more advanced electronic ‘skimmer’ devices. Three U.S. telecommunication carriers, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile, are combining their efforts to spur mobile payments in the U.S., targeting a market dominated by Visa and MasterCard, the world’s biggest card networks. The plan will test the Smartphone system in three cities, Austin, Minneapolis and Salt Lake City.

How much you’ll pay for insurance premiums, as well as your access to homeowner and car insurance, is directly affected by your credit history.

It’s called your insurance score, and while many are unaware that insurance companies use your credit history when making insurance decisions, now is the time to start paying attention.

What is an insurance score?

Just like credit scoring models, insurance scoring models produce a unique numerical insurance score that insurers use to predict risk and calculate your premiums.

Similar to the way lenders use credit score models, insurance scores also 1) look at your credit history, 2) use a scoring formula based on aspects of your credit report and history, and 2) predicts the level of insurance risk you represent.
