Capital One has recently stepped up the reward miles game by offering a generous deal that will match up to 100,000 miles for new card holders of their Venture One credit card. The Venture One card already provides generous rewards that can be a big benefit to consumers by giving them the ability to earn extra travel miles and free airline tickets faster. Plus, Capital One is now offering to match the miles you’ve earned with your existing airline reward credit card.
More details about how it works:
Sign up for the “Match My Miles” program when you apply for the Capital One Venture Card. Provide proof of your accumulated reward miles from another airline rewards program. Once you have spent $1,000 within the first three months of being a Venture One card holder, you’re eligible to earn matching miles of up to 100,000 miles.
Match My Miles Challenge is available for a limited time and is on a first-come, first-served basis, with Capital One planning to match up to one billion miles. All miles accumulated on a single credit card will be matched, including sign-on bonuses. There are no limits on when the rewards were earned. If, for example, you have 75,000 miles as a United, Delta or Continental credit cardholder, Capital One will double the miles you’ve earned (up to 100,000) by giving you an additional 75,000 miles on your Venture One card.
Begin accumulating miles with a one-time bonus of 10,000 miles after the first $1,000 worth of purchases made during the first three months. This offer is for people with excellent credit and carries a $59 annual fee that is waived for the first year. Redemption is not restricted to a specific airline and can be used to pay for travel expenses like hotel stays and rental cars.
